Smoked Chicken


  • 1-2 Whole Chicken
  • ½ cup Olive Oil
  • ½ cup Dry Rub


Remove giblets and rinse chickens. Pat dry with paper towels.
Prepare smoker and temp at 250-275 degrees.
Coat Chickens with olive oil and coat each chicken with a quater cup of dry rub.
See smoked turkey recipe for dry rub mix.
Place chickens on smoker and add soaked apple or hickory chips. Cook chickens untill meat thermoter reaches 165 degrees. Should take about 4-6 hours depending on temp.
